Good Beer Guide Voting

VOTING IS NOW CLOSED.

Thank you to all who voted. To help in future decisions please use NBSS - available via whatpub.com (see below)

YOUR CHANCE YOUR VOTE DON’T WASTE IT
2020 was probably the toughest year for pubs ever. Who would have thought that back in January 2020 with word of this new flu strain out of Wuhan that it would have such a devastating effect on the way we live and also the tragic loss of so many lives? With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting shops and the hospitality industry, most pubs and bars were lucky if they were open for 6 months during the year and a lot of people had long hair!

Despite all the problems in the pubs industry, we still have to do our annual voting for the Good Beer Guide. CAMRA see it as being able to help pubs, once they are allowed to re-open, at the earliest, on 12th April (outdoors) and 17th May (indoors). Links to the forms are below.

THE LAST DATE TO RECEIVE POSTAL or EMAIL ENTRIES IS WEDNESDAY 31st MARCH 2021.

If you don’t wish to vote, you can still help the branch by submitting Beer Scoring, when pubs re-open. Details on how to use the beer scoring scheme can be found at www.whatpub.com. Log-in using your membership details and select “beer scoring” at the bottom of the page. These scores help us to evaluate pubs throughout the year and will be used in the selection process for the GBG now and in the future. Additionally based on just the scores used on What Pub, the branch now awards two seasonal pub awards for the best summer and winter pub, though none were awarded in 2020.

Please can you fill in the form below or the online version to nominate any pubs in our area that you think are worthy of an entry into the Good Beer Guide 2022. A map is printed below that shows the boundaries of the South East Essex CAMRA branch.

These pubs must sell real ale (as defined by CAMRA) in consistently good order and obviously you must drink in them regularly to know this to be a fact. This is not a vote for the Good Pub Guide – but a vote for our flagship publication the GOOD BEER guide.

YOUR VOTE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, PLEASE FILL IN THE FORM !

With the restrictions on pubs and clubs opening during 2020 and when they were open, operating at reduced capacity and sometimes a reduced number of beers, we are not seeking any votes this year for the pub or club of the year, it is just your nominations for the Good Beer Guide 2022 that we require.

If there are joint members at the same address, you may both use this form for voting. 2022 GOOD BEER GUIDE NOMINATIONS (Pubs and Clubs) – you can nominate as many pubs and clubs as you wish
