Good Beer Guide Voting

VOTING HAS NOW CLOSED

Congratulations to Mile and a Third - voted Pub of the Year by South East Essex CAMRA

Congratulations to our Club of the Year: South Benfleet Social Club

Thanks to all who voted; and thank you for supporting our pubs, breweries and other hospitality businesses during the last couple of years.

In other news, now that pandemic restrictions have been lifted we will be giving a Summer Pub award to the venue with the highest score on NBSS (in July). CAMRA members: please use the Beer Scoring scheme which can be accessed via WhatPub

Thank you

**************** VOTING CLOSED

You can still help the branch by submitting Beer Scoring, when pubs re-open. Details on how to use the beer scoring scheme can be found at www.whatpub.com. Log-in using your membership details and select “beer scoring” at the bottom of the page. These scores help us to evaluate pubs throughout the year and will be used in the selection process for the GBG now and in the future. Additionally based on just the scores used on What Pub, the branch now awards two seasonal pub awards for the best summer and winter pub.

YOUR CHANCE YOUR VOTE DON’T WASTE IT
2021 was a bit easier for pubs than 2020, at least they were allowed to open in some extent from mid-April and indoors again from mid-May. So at least there was some form of trading for most pubs, even though social distancing and face masks seem to be part of pub visits these days. The threat of the Omnicron variant did put a damper over the Christmas period but people seem to have been out in force to enjoy themselves in January – so much for Dry January this year!

It is that time of year again when we ask for your help in doing our annual voting for the Good Beer Guide. Links to the forms are below.

THE LAST DATE TO RECEIVE POSTAL or EMAIL ENTRIES IS MONDAY 28th February 2022

Please can you fill in the form below or the online version to nominate any pubs in our area that you think are worthy of an entry into the Good Beer Guide 2023. A map is printed below that shows the boundaries of the South East Essex CAMRA branch.

These pubs must sell real ale (as defined by CAMRA) in consistently good order and obviously you must drink in them regularly to know this to be a fact. This is not a vote for the Good Pub Guide – but a vote for our flagship publication the GOOD BEER guide.

YOUR VOTE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, PLEASE FILL IN THE FORM TODAY!

If there are joint members at the same address, you may both use this form for voting. 2023 GOOD BEER GUIDE NOMINATIONS (Pubs and Clubs) – you can nominate as many pubs and clubs as you wish
