Beer Scoring
Your beer scores directly influence which pubs make it into the Good Beer Guide. If you want your favourite pubs recognised, scoring is the single most powerful thing you can do.
To get started, you will need to login using your usual CAMRA login. If you have never logged in before, you will need your membership number. You can use the "Forgotten Password" option to get a new password.
How to Score Your Beer (Takes 20 Seconds)
1. Open CAMRA.org.uk/pubs
Tap the search bar at the top.
2. Find the pub
Type its name or use “Pubs nearby”.
3. Tap ‘Beer Score’
It’s right under the pub details
4. Choose 0–5
Use your honest impression — that’s all we need.
Done. Your score helps shape the Good Beer Guide.
What the Numbers Mean
0: No Cask Ale
1: Poor - Barely drinkable
2: Average - Drinkable, but not inspiring
3: Good - Good beer in good form
4: Very Good - Excellent beer in excellent condition
5: Perfect - Probably the best you are ever likely to find
Why Your Score Matters
Our Good Beer Guide entries are now selected based on beer scores
Your score helps ensure every pub — not just the busiest — is judged fairly.
It doesn't matter if you only visit one pub, your scores still count.
Try It Now
Think of the last pub you visited.
Look it up at CAMRA.org.uk/pubs and give it a score — it takes less about 20 seconds.
