See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

The Old Walnut Tree, previously called the White Horse, relaunched in Autumn 2014 as a Flaming Grill pub. It is now split into a Flaming Grill restaurant and a bar. Situated on the corner of a main junction one mile South of the town centre this modern pub with a contemporary feel has wooden flooring, leather seating and an upmarket atmosphere. It has one large bar and is popular for sport, food and the variety of entertainment available. All major matches are shown but there is a quieter area with comfy sofas etc. where you can hold a conversation and chill out. There is a good regular clientele plus many who call in when passing. Up to 2 ales from Greene King range and 3 guests ales are served. Food is the traditional Flaming Grill menu of sizzling chicken and steak dishes as well as a selection of classic pub favourites and sandwiches and salads for those looking for a lighter bite.
