A traditional pub (a short walk from the River Roach) with an aviary in the garden, real fires, fine Essex ales, and a very warm welcome. It has a history dating back over 300 years. In 1890, over 30 oyster smacks were based in Paglesham, and the pub became a meeting place for the hardworking crews; it is still a community hub.
